Barnet Young Labour is a grassroots network of young Labour activists committed to building a fairer Barnet which works for the many, not just the privileged few.
The last sixteen years of Conservative rule in our borough have seen council services gutted through mass-privatisation and a heartless disregard for the community.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
On May 3rd, we have the power to change this and elect a Labour majority council to Barnet for this first time in history.
We have a vision and a credible, fully funded manifesto which we can’t wait to deliver.
But we need your help.
We believe that young people are the future and should be as involved as possible in creating the council Barnet residents deserve and a borough that puts the cares of the community first.
So, we’ve been organising events specifically aimed at young people and we hope you’ll come along!
- Join us and the fantastic Guardian journalist Owen Jones, canvassing in Child’s Hill and Hale on April 7th.
- Listen to inspirational speakers from throughout the Labour movement and vote on Barnet Young Labour positions at our official launch on 14th April.
- Come out canvassing with us, the Jewish Labour Movement and Labour Students BAME to try to elect Liron Velleman to Hale on 15th April.
In addition, there are regular canvassing events every day of the week, as detailed in the weekly Barnet Labour email.
We welcome first timers and veteran campaigners alike so don’t worry if you’ve never been out campaigning before.
